Shola Felloship

The Shola Fellowship is an informal circle of friends who gather annually to reflect on life, systems, and society through shared experiences and diverse perspectives. Born in the Shola forests in 1996, it brings together individuals and families from across India in immersive, theme-based retreats. It’s not an institution—but a living, evolving network rooted in curiosity, connection, and care.

The Shola Fellowship network runs the Endowment Fund. Shola Fellowship: news, meetings & support over the years. The Fund has been supporting groups and individuals through word of mouth and calls for proposals. Many times, these small grants and timely, flexible amounts have been pivotal for organisations, that have later become bigger social and environmental players.

The Shola Fellowship Endowment Fund lives on in memory of Shrikant Joshi and Shipra Gupta, whose lives and values continue to inspire its work.
